Vegan Protein Truffles

 

These are my favourite before/after workout treats. Soft, chocolaty and very fulfilling! I use Arbonne Protein powder as they are certified vegan; they use pea protein instead of whey (which is btw a cheap byproduct of the cheese making process). Good to know, right?
So go on, roll up your sleeves and make these delicious balls before you hit the gym next time.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup almond butter
1/2 cup almond milk
2 scoops vegan protein powder*
1 ripe banana, mashed
1/8 -1/4 cup agave syrup
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tbs cocoa powder (+1/2 tbs for rolling)

*For this recipe I used Arbonne Chocolate Protein Powder (www.YourArbonne.co.uk)

 

1. Place the rolled oats into an electric blender. Whizz for a few seconds to turn your oats into oat flour.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients and combine.
3. Use a small ice-cream scoop, or tablespoon to get even portions, roll the dough into balls then roll them in cocoa powder.
